This
is yet another famous Indian monument which was glorified by
inclusion in list of World heritage sites of UNESCO in the
year 2002 and holds most significant place on the map of
Buddhism pilgrimage. 55 meter tall central brick structural
tower of this monument was renovated in the 19th century.
Mahaboddhi temple is among the most scared and visited place
related with Buddhism. Boddhi tree is place where Gautam
Buddha is believed to attain the enlightenment. The temple
dates back to era, earlier than Great King Ashoka [3rd century
B.C.] first buddist ruler in the country.
